Buy and build dressers for those in need.
This is a terrific team-building activity, host at one of our Bridging locations (we are not offering offsite builds at this time). All volunteers must be 14 years of age or older to build at Bridging. Teams purchase new dresser kits for $95 each. Kits are in stock at Bridging. No experience required! All necessary tools and directions are provided. A minimum of 8 dressers per project is required.
Group Size: 8 to 20
Shifts: 2-3 hours in length, weekdays before 6:00pm

Description
Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the greater Twin Cities, is the largest furniture bank in North America. Providing furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty, Bridging gives hope-and for many-a leap toward financial stability for the first time. With locations in Bloomington and Roseville, Bridging is driven by volunteers and donations of furniture and household goods from the community. Since 1987, Bridging has furnished over 75,000 homes, and every year, reduces landfill space by 11 million pounds.
To serve as many people in need as possible, we work with a network of over 140 nonprofit organizations and social service agency partners who refer clients to us. These partners verify there is a need with each household before they walk through our doors.
