The Power of your Presence in their Final Hours

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Horizon Home Care and Hospice

Providing your love, compassion and presence during a dying person’s final hours is one of the greatest gifts you can give. We need individuals from all over Southeastern Wisconsin to come forward and serve in this capacity as this service provides tremendous support and relief to both the patient and their loved ones. Help to grow our Final Hours program and give the best possible gift you can: unconditional love.

This is a very flexible service role. Final Hours Volunteers arrange their own 'on-call' schedule and receive plenty of notice when and if they are needed to serve. Visitations average (2 - 4) hours of social and emotional care in the patient's home or at a skilled nursing facility.

There is nothing like the power of your presence in their final hours. Reach out to us today and we will get you started on this purposeful service experience. Please leave your phone number and email address so we can best reach out to you. Thank you. Make it a great day.

About Horizon Home Care and Hospice

Location:

11400 West Lake Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53224, US

Mission Statement

Horizon is a home care and hospice provider built on a foundation of care that celebrates the human spirit and the desire for security, comfort, and compassion. We are a professional team of 550+ employees and 150+ volunteers who make a loving difference in the lives of more than 2,500 patients and families throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. The idea of 'home' is central to Horizon. Home means different things to different people, but one thing it should always be is a place where we value each other. It's a place where people genuinely care about the comfort and security of others. We know our purpose is to give our patients home, whatever that means to them, wherever they are. More about Our Local Non-Profit Horizon Home Care & Hospice was established in 1990 and today serves as the second largest full service home care agency and hospice in Wisconsin. We are a local, non-profit organization sponsored by Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Columbia St. Mary's Hospital.
