Vision Literacy needs a Volunteer Classroom Manager to keep our lively Tuesday evening English as a Second Language class in Sunnyvale running smoothly.
We need someone who will arrive at 6:30 PM to set up the classroom space. Our Classroom Manager will also ensure that all students sign in and pick up any materials they need that evening. At the end of class, s/he will help restore the space to the original setup.
We would also like help with administering a biannual standardized assessment with the class. We will train you in our intake procedure and how to conduct the assessments, and there are always experienced tutors present. If you’ve ever been interested in adult education but weren’t sure if teaching was for you, this could be the perfect opportunity!
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, detail-oriented, responsible, and punctual, who enjoys working with adults of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We offer free training and the opportunity to help strengthen our community while working with a great group of people.
If interested, contact Pat Lawson-North@visionliteracy.org or call us at 408-676-7323.
