Docents engage visitors, mostly early elementary school students, and help them observe and learn about animals and the natural world. Our Wildlife Habitats and beautiful walk-through Aviary house over 60 non-releasable animals native to California. Docents may also be trained to handle and show some of our education animals for visitors to see up-close and touch.
Commitment: Two shifts per month on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday mornings, 10am-noon, for at least one year. Greatest need is for Wednesday and Friday Docents.
The required training program will be held on 3 Saturdays in September/October 2014. There are only 12-14 spots available in training. Position will be open until filled.
