Share your skills with troop leaders & girls in your community by joining the service unit team (SUT)! The SUT is a group of volunteers who support troop leaders in a particular unit / town. These positions include Treasurer, Secretary, Event Planner, Recruiter & Registrar, and Public Relations just to name a few. If you're good with balancing numbers, managing spreadsheets, or you're an email / blogging guru - these volunteer positions are just for you!

SUT positions require a 1 year commitment. Dependent on the area, meetings may be monthly or bi-monthly. The SUT plays a vital role in the enrichment of troop leaders which trickles down to the girls, and the community at large. Don’t sit on your skills & talents, share them with our future leaders!

Mission Statement

To build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

GSCWM serves over 5,000 girls, ages 5-18, from five counties (Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, and Worcester) across Central and Western Massachusetts.

Our community of over 3,000 adult members includes volunteers, parents, caregivers, staff, alumnae, students, and professionals.

Volunteers use their skills, interests, and life experience to inspire girls to reach their personal best, helping them to grow their leadership skills while providing fun and exciting opportunities to discover, connect and take action. There are also incredible opportunities for volunteers to support girls through camp and events, and indirectly as facilitators, mentors and "behind the scenes" council-based support.
