Senior Volunteers really make a difference as volunteers for the SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol).

Have you heard, scam artists are trying to trick seniors into giving them their Medicare Numbers? Scams like these hurt every taxpayer, draining billions of dollars from Medicare and making it harder for seniors to get the health benefits they are entitled to.

But you can do something about it! Join the Senior Medicare Patrol where you’ll work with other volunteers to teach your neighbors how to protect their Medicare numbers, review Medicare statements to spot false charges, detect errors, and report suspected fraud. You will receive extensive training on Medicare and the SMP program and work with the SMP Coordinator to go to Senior Centers, Senior Housing or Senior Fairs in your community or county.

As a volunteer you are working to save Medicare for the future by ensuring that Medicare Fraud is stopped.

Due to COVID restrictions this programs has volunteers doing virtual presentations only.
