Please join us for an amazing summertime experience! As the Camp Many Mansions Intern, you will support programming that is an essential element in our efforts to break the cycle of poverty and provide Many Mansions' resident children with an enriching environment to help them be successful later in life.

In this position, you will be helping to conduct and oversee summer camp activities, under the supervision of Many Mansions Staff, for a wonderful group of kids ... performing a needed service, and having a great time, yourself!

Internship hours may be earned with this opportunity.

You must be be over 18, and have a Live scan clearance done for us. We also ask that you have: Education and/or experience relating to social services, education, psychology, child development, sociology and/or communications; a professional demeanor with the ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people; and strong communication and organizational skills. We also ask that you have a valid California Driver's license and auto insurance, an available vehicle, and a clean DMV record (You will not be transporting children).

To promote and provide safe, well-managed and affordable housing with on-site, life-enriching services for limited income residents of the Conejo Valley and surrounding communities in Ventura County, California.

Description

Many Mansions is a non-profit housing corporation, which currently serves over 1300 local residents, 350 of whom are children. We own and manage fourteen apartment complexes throughout Ventura County, housing low-income families, seniors, children, and people with disabilities. In addition to housing, we provide our residents with needed services, such as career development and job training, youth development programs, a free health clinic, case management, transportation, a homework/literacy program, food assistance, and more.
