JA Family Day provides families and children diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and related diseases with the opportunity to meet and connect with other families who are affected by arthritis. While the parents will have the opportunity to listen and interact with doctors and health care professionals, children are engaged in special activities.
Volunteers:
We need 10 volunteers to help with this event. Volunteer jobs include help prior-to-event by preparing registration packets and goody bags; assist day-of-event by helping with set-up; manning registration table, and guiding children through museum activities and exhibits. All DAY-OF-EVENT VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO A BACKGROUND CHECK.

Description
For over 60-years the Arthritis Foundation, a nationwide non-profit organization has made exciting progress to make possible a better quality of life for the 50 million Americans and 300,000 children diagnosed with arthritis. Our efforts are centered on advancing research, advocating for change, public health and a wide range of services to help people stay active and be healthy.
Programs include: a Juvenile Arthritis (JA) welcome backpack program; JA camp; JA Family Day; and Information and tools to help people understand their diagnosis and mange life with arthritis to include: numerous brochures on dozens of topics, as well as books and DVDs are available.
