We are looking for volunteers to help out in our appliance section at our Wilkinson ReStore. If you have experience in appliances, this position is for you! Apply today at: https://habitatcltvolunteers.force.com/apex/VolunteerRestoreRegistration.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the appliance "process," including when appliances arrive, condition, and pricing
  • Assist customers in selecting appliances
  • Clean appliances and ensure that they are in good working condition
  • Assist ReStore manager in pricing appliances as they come off the Habitat truck
  • Assist staff in unloading appliances from the Habitat truck and loading purchased appliances into customers’ vehicles

Requirements:

Through the selling of donated construction and home related items:

· Increase the number of homes built with low-income families through Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte.

· Prevent usable items from being put in landfills.

· Provide quality building materials to the general public at discounted prices.

Description

The ReStore is a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte- individuals and coporations donate building materials, appliances, and home furnishings, and these items are sold to the public. Proceeds are used to build homes in partnership with needy families in the Charlotte area.
