This program provides a volunteer caller to a senior living alone for the purpose of a brief daily check on the senior's well-being. Calls are made at a pre-arranged, regular time, to share a few minute of friendly conversation and to assure that the participant is safe and well enough to answer the phone.

Description
Ursuline Support Services is a nonprofit, charitable organization in Allegheny County that supports those who are vulnerable and in need in our communities, enabling them independence through life’s many transitions. We have many facets and help better the lives of those in the community in a variety of ways. We have three distinct programs that are volunteer-driven, namely Checks and Balances, a bill paying program, Cart to Heart, a grocery shopping program, and Senior Reassurance, a daily call program.
