Mission Statement
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Our grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities.
RMHC of Greater Houston/Galveston makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its core programs:
Care Mobile: Our two room, mobile medical unit, which provides medical care completely free of charge to the underserved in our community.
CHEER! Room (Children's Health Education Enrichment Resource): Located within the UTMB Regional Maternal/Child Health Clinics, CHEER! Rooms provide a safe, and child-friendly room in the clinic space where bilingual "play with a purpose" engages children in mini health education activities while moms receive prenatal care.
Scholarships: In partnership with our local McDonalds Owner/Operators, a portion of all french fry sales are donated to the RMHC scholarship fund. RMHC matches these funds and awards over 85 scholarships annually to deserving high school seniors.
