The Holtz Children’s Hospital is one of the most recognized children’s hospitals in the world, having recently been acknowledged as one of the best in five separate specialties by US News & World Report. The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s Adopt-A-Floor program visits the hospital’s 6 th floor to provide a variety of games and entertainment to the youth patients as they await or undergo treatment.

Visit our website's online volunteering calendar to register for Adopt-A-Floor.

Volunteer activities include arts & crafts, board games, themed parties, music, and assisting entertainers in putting on a show. Children can come to the activity room to participate, or may need to be engaged by volunteers who travel room-to-room distributing invitations to join the fun. Children vary in age from 3-18, and suffer from a range of conditions. Children’s conditions can be life threatening, yet pose no harm to participating volunteers. Adopt-A-Floor programs take place from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on scheduled Wednesdays, or 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on scheduled Saturdays.
