Women's Center-Youth & Family Services

The Women's Center-Youth & Family Services offers a 67.5 hour state certified Victim Assistance Training in domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and the homeless/runaway youth crisis. Training begins in the Winter of 2015. Applications are being accpeted now. If you have the time to make a difference, please volunteer with our organization.

Mission Statement

To build a stronger community by fostering the strengths in adults, children, youth and families and by acting as a catalyst to end violence and youth homelessness.

The Women's Center's goals are to serve and empower victims, raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault, dispel myths and misconceptions, assit with homeless and runaway youth, and reduce violence in our communities. Ultimately, our goal is to eliminate domestic violence, sexual assault, and the growing problem of homelss/runaway youth but we work to ensure that our services are available as long as there is a need.

Description

Non-profit agency assisting victims and survivors of both doemstic violence and sexual assault and homeless/runaway youth. We provide counseling services, support groups, prevention education services, parenting classes, 24 hour hospital response and 24 hour crisis lines, shelter services, court accompaniment, Victim Assistance Training Certification, temporary restraining order assistance, shelter services and referral resources. All services are free to men, women, youth and children.
