Naper Settlement welcomes over 140,000 visitors each year. Volunteer tour guides (called building interpreters) lead visitors and school groups through museum buildings and grounds. Provide an exciting and engaging experience that stimulates conversation, promotes an appreciation of 19th century history, and celebrates the American spirit! Interpreters have to option to wear historic costuming.

Training begins with an informational meeting on Tuesday Jan. 26th from 7-8:30 PM or Saturday, Jan. 30 from 10-11:30 AM. Attendance at one required. Please email nsvolunteer@naperville.il.us or visit www.napersettlement.org to sign up or for more details.

Description

Naper Settlement is a history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. Through its costumed interpreters and 30 historic buildings located on the 13-acre grounds, history is brought to life with educational and hands-on activities for 150,000 visitors each year.

Naper Settlement is just steps away from downtown Naperville. Open year-round, museum provides fun and interactive learning opportunities for all ages. Become a part of our community as we portray and compare daily life from pioneer to Victorian to modern times.
