For the Child provides free parenting classes to teach moms and dads how to be better caregivers to their infants, toddlers, and school aged children. We need volunteers to help provide quality childcare while their parents are in class. Parents & Guardians are referred by the courts, Department of Children & Family Services, schools, and law enforcement. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity that is flexible and fun. We have great children and our volunteers have a tremendous impact on their lives. Volunteers are also needed to help watch siblings of clients during their weekly therapy appointments. Shifts available Monday - Thursday in the mornings and afternoons. QUALIFICATIONS Have a desire to work with children. Enjoy meeting new children and reading, playing and having fun! Pass thorough background check. We ask that all volunteers make a commitment of at least (1) session. Sessions last 20 weeks. BENEFITS: Gain experience working with children Help For The Child provide quality childcare for its clients Meet other like minded volunteers Looks great on a resume
