There's a lot to gain from being a hospice volunteer including satisfaction, greater self-knowledge and spiritual growth. Volunteering as little as a couple hours a month can provide assistance to a patient or their families at the time when they need it most. The greatest gift you can give is the gift of yourself. The volunteer's need varies from patient to patient. Because different families have different needs, you will be able to find an area of service that suits and satisfies you best. Typical volunteer duties are:
Providing emotional support and companionship to our patients
Office and clerical support in our administrative office
Providing time for the caregiver to take care of his/herself
Community education
Knitting or Crocheting Lap Blankets
Memory Bear Projects and more!!
To schedule an interview or for more information please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Terry Stone at:

Our Volunteers are the heart of the Hospice team. We depend on our Hospice volunteers to assist in providing support and care to our patients' and their families' needs during this time in their life.
Our volunteers offer support, companionship and practical care to our patients. Whether it's running errands, sitting with a patient to provide relief for the caregiver, reading to a patient, helping a patient write in his/her journal, or providing the power of presence, hospice volunteers are truly making a difference.
