Looking to make a difference locally? The Community FoodBank of NJ (Hillside, NJ) has opportunities for volunteers to directly help one or more of our partner agencies around the state.
Assignments available include: food distribution & pantry, computer-based client intake, soup kitchen, baby pantry, unloading/loading food, clerical, fundraising, grant writing, web design & maintenance, etc. Great for college students, retired individuals, teachers, and anyone else with flexible hours during the week or on Saturdays. Bi-lingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus!!
Opportunities available in the following counties: Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Union.

Description
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is the largest source of donated food in the state. As such, the FoodBank distributes 22 million pounds of food per year to over 1,500 agencies in 18 counties who in turn feed some of the neediest residents in NJ. By serving charities throughout New Jersey, we are able to reach over 500,000 people per month at food pantries, shelters for the homeless, soup kitchens, childcare centers, battered women's shelters and senior citizen programs. We a non-profit organization that cares deeply about people who are in need, and we try to do everything possible to assist people in need.
