At this time, you are welcome to join the Friends of the Alviso Branch Library, attend their bi-monthly meetings on the even months. Please send an email to let us know of your interest and someone will get back to you.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Friends of the Alviso Branch Library. The Friends of the Alviso Library raise money to support library programs at book sales. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in libraries and giving back to the community. Volunteer 1 to 4 hours per week, sorting and marketing in-lobby book sales Assist in publicizing library activities and quarterly book sales Attend bi-monthly meetings every even month. Being a part of the Friends of the Alviso Branch Library can be an excellent experience to build your personal resume. We are open to your suggestions to ways to assist the Friends of the Alviso Branch Library.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
