Joyce Ellington Library is looking for motivated teens to join Teens Reach, the library's teen advisory group. Teens Reach is a great opportunity gain leadership experience, give back to the community, and advocate for teen services and programs in the library. Teens Reach volunteers help plan and facilitate library programs and events, assist with Friends of the Library Book Sales, champion library services in the community, and more. Joyce Ellington's Teens Reach meets on the 4th Thursday of every month at 4pm.

Requirements:
  • Commit to volunteering for at least 6 months
  • Attend monthly meetings

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
