Time Commitment: Flexible hours - 20-30 hours a week, minimum three month commitment
Position Summary: The Events Intern would provide administrative support before
and after agency events; as well as, day-of-event support to Children' s Home Society & Family Services' event staff. Duties and responsibilities of this internship may be expanded to commensurate with individual experience and skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Comply with all program policies and procedures of Children's Home Society & Family Services
2. Respect and maintain confidentiality at all times
3. Maintain event databases on a regular basis
4. Provide phone coverage as needed
5. Attend volunteer committee meetings, as necessary
6. Assist with day-of-event planning
7. Monitor and maintain inventory of event materials
Skills
- organizing: Qualifications: 1. Ability to work as a team member and to accept responsibility 2. Ability to act independently and to seek consultation when needed 3. Understanding and acceptance of children and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds 4. Excellent organizational and communication skills 5. Strong computer skills; including knowledge of Word and Excel 6. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks 7. Self-motivated character 8. Sense of humor 9.
