If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, become a Girl Scout Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) volunteer today. GSHNJ serves 22,000 girls in Hudson, Essex, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon and parts of Middlesex and Warren Counties every year. We are in need of trustworthy, reliable and compassionate adult leaders to guide the thousands more who are excited to take part in a unique leadership experience only Girl Scouts can provide. Mission Statement
Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) believes in the power of every girl. Our leadership program is designed to help a girl discover who she is, what she can do, and connects her with a powerful community of girls and mentors to make it happen. With unique opportunities, Girl Scouts explore, learn, succeed and take action to make a difference in their community.
Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey serves 18,000 girls and 8,000 adults throughout Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Somerset, Union, southern Warren, and parts of Middlesex counties. Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 regardless of race, creed, nationality or socio-economic status.
At Girl Scouts, we strive to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is a very rewarding experience. You get to help provide unforgettable and life-changing experiences to girls while teaching them a variety of life skills that will help them be successful in the future. You’re a role model, leader, friend, mentor, and teacher all in one. We couldn’t do any of that if it wasn’t for our hard-working volunteers. That means YOU!
