Hospice Advantage is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to join our bereavement team to make visits with family members after the recent loss of a loved one.
Hospice Advantage offers bereavement services to the families of our patients for thirteen to twenty-four months following their death, and it is our policy to meet with these family members face to face approximately two months into their bereavement process.
Volunteers in this position need to be detailed oriented, good communicators both written and verbal, and be able to employee empathy techniques with the people they visit. They should also be able to set up/schedule visits per their own schedule and communicate with the bereavement coordinator as these visits are carried out monthly.
