The East Lake Farmers' Market (ELFM) and the Southeastern Horticultural Society (SHS) are working in partnership to "Build the Farm" and we need your help! We continue to build and fill raised beds for the East Lake Urban Farm each Friday from 9am - 12pm. The beds and soil are the foundation for our farm project designed to serve the DeKalb county community. In addition to serving your community and getting some great exercise, these volunteer days present a perfect opportunity for gardeners to learn more about building raised beds and soil preparation to support your own urban farm.
In addition to volunteering at the farm, we are always looking for volunteers to help out at the market on Saturdays from 8am - 1pm, especially during special events.More opportunities with East Lake Farmers Market

Description
The East Lake Farmers Market (ELF Market) was founded in 2009 to expand local access to fresh fruits and vegetables in an under-served area of Atlanta. The ELF Market is a producers market that exists to build community, strengthen our in-town economy, and encourage healthy lifestyles by making wholesome, locally-sourced food accessible to all neighbors. We support independent farmers and healthy growing practices. We actively promote healthy eating, food literacy, community-building and the work of other non-profits which, like ELF Market, also seek to serve the distressed and less prosperous in our community.
