25% of the students in San Francisco's public schools are English Language Learners. Over 30% of San Francisco's public school students are of Hispanic origin. There is a huge demand for Spanish bilingual tutors and mentors!

We only ask for a one-hour a week commitment but that one hour a week will make a huge difference to the child or teacher with whom you are working. Select the school, grade level and subject matter area you'd enjoy most but, if you don't have a strong preference, the most critical need is to help students with their reading and writing skills.

No prior tutoring or teaching experience is needed. Your consistent presence and faith in them will make a difference to the student you work with--guaranteed!!

This is an in-person volunteer opportunity. For more information and to register for our next training class: https://sfedfund.org/volunteer-programs/#tutoring.

Sign up for one of our next virtual trainings in January or February!
