Do you enjoy cooking and sharing meals? Consider cooking for those in need either by yourself or in a group of two!
Inter-Faith Ministries operates the Ti'Wiconi Safe Haven homeless shelter. Clients staying at the shelter receive temporary housing, assistance and food.
Volunteers are needed to cook lunch for the Safe Haven. Each meal takes about two hours to prepare and share. Food is provided. About 15 - 20 people eat lunch at the Safe Haven.
Volunteers must be 18 to cook. Food handler cards are required. Cards may be easily obtained through a free training. Contact Kat for details.

Mission Statement
HumanKind Ministries provides street outreach, shelter, affordable housing, supportive services, and basic needs to those experiencing homelessness or poverty in Sedgwick County. Recognizing the inherent value of each person, we serve the most vulnerable with compassion and kindness and, in doing so, strengthen the entire community.
Description
In 1885, local church leaders banded together as the Wichita Ministerial alliance to help those in need in our community. In the 1970’s, we partnered with other faith organizations and renamed as Inter-Faith Ministries of Wichita. Now, more than 135 years later, we continue the same spirit as HumanKind Ministries - embracing communities of all kinds in our work to help those living in poverty and the homeless.
