Mission Statement

To change the lives of young girls by providing positive and successful experiences that enrich their conditions; while encouraging adults to take responsibility for the outcomes of young girls.

Description

Founded in 2005, B'Fly Girls, Inc. (BFG) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing group mentoring to young girls in metro Atlanta. We currently have programs at over 30+ schools in five school districts - Atlanta, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, and Fulton. Programming focuses on holistic development and seeks to equip girls with the tools they need to achieve success in five program areas: academics, life and social skills, character development, health and wellness, and gifts and talents. Mentoring sessions are held bi-weekly in-school and facilitated by professional adult women and young adult college women (1 mentor: 5 mentees). BFG is changing the lives of girls by providing holistic experiences that enrich and empower their lives. BFG strives to enhance a girl's school and academic performance, promote hobbies, interests and extracurricular activities, and improve her relationships with family, friends and the community at large while fostering a sense of life purpose and potential for success.
