ORGANIZATION: Rebuilding Together Metro Denver

  • 14 people are interested

Rebuilding Together Metro Denver (RTMD) brings volunteers, businesses, civic groups, and government agencies together to provide crucial home repairs, energy improvements, and accessibility modifications to create safe and healthy homes for at risk older adults, veterans, and persons living with disabilities. All repairs and modifications are provided at no cost to homeowners who are living on low and fixed incomes.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in the home preview and selection process for our organization and the homeowners that we serve. A Volunteer Home Previewer works with the RTMD staff to conduct the initial inspection of a home. A Volunteer Home Previewer must attend a training course provided by RTMD and will be given a home preview sheet to work off of. Basic knowledge of construction and home repair issues is beneficial but not required for this position.

Hours are flexible and volunteers choose the amount of time that they are able to donate. Any commitment range, from one preview a week to a couple previews a month are available. The Home Previewer makes their own schedule and reports back to RTMD Staff after a preview is completed.

We are looking for Home Previewers to ensure that every person who applies for our services is given the opportunity for assistance, and so that we may ultimately increase the number of homeowners we serve.
