The daily operations of a Food Bank require a lot of driving. As the largest food pantry in the area, we need to visit several grocery stores on a daily basis, as well as pick up food drive collections, bring food to share with other pantries, and special pickups as needed.
If driving is your thing, we are interested in enlisting you as a volunteer driver!! Every morning we have a grocery store route that needs to be picked up, which may take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
Once per month, we delivery to senior citizen apartments, and we would like to find more drivers willing to load and deliver these food boxes to our elderly clients who are homebound.
We could also have you enlist as an afternoon or "on-call" driver, where the driving locations would be more sporadic and irregular and would depend on the needs of the day.

Description
At Catholic Community Services we provide emergency food assistance through our food pantry, rental assistance and case management services and we provide baby layettes to low-income mothers. We serve over 50,000 individuals each year who are struggling to meet their basic needs, and lately as many as 2,000 households come through our pantry every month. Catholic Community Services of Northern Utah has been an active and integral part of the northern Utah Community since 1982.
