An inter-generational program. The Foster Grandparent program provides both young and old a chance to grow together. Seniors who are at least 55 years of age, and are willing to volunteer 15 hours per week work with children in Pre-K through 3rd grade classrooms in targeted elementary schools, helping those children with reading and social skills on a one-to-one basis. For those who qualify, a modest, tax-free stipend is provided.

Your Aging & Disability Resource Center is a dynamic, private, nonprofit organization dedicated to serving seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers. Your Aging & Disability Resource Center/Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast, Inc. is the leader of the Aging Network in Planning and Service Area 9 which includes Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.
Professional, dedicated staff is available to help in English, Spanish and Creole.
Let’s face it: life gets a bit more complicated as we get older; it’s good to know where to turn.
