Love libraries? Like computers? If you’re confident in your computer skills, come share your talents! Help patrons learn basic computer literacy to enhance their job and life skills. Technology Instructors present a 1-2 hour class to patrons on a specific computer subject such as Microsoft Word, Searching the Internet, or Social Networking. Key Responsibilities Help customers learn basic computer terms Help patrons learn basic techniques in the area you are presenting Follow a curriculum provided to you by the library Qualifications: Familiar with Windows operating system Competent in at least one of the programs available in Microsoft Office suite or with internet search engines and email, or social networking sites such as Facebook Competent with common computer hardware such as portable storage devices Desire to foster self-sufficiency in library users Friendly, pleasant manner; patience and dependability
