Assistant in Community Relations office - mostly clerical duties with opportunities to represent the organization at functions after learning period. Great opportunity for flexibility as a volunteer. May handle data entry one day, and greet people the next. Some filing, organizing, bulk mail processing and phone calls may be needed. Would like to have a bright, energetic people person with clerical skills.

Description
The Salvation Army Fort Myers Area Command includes many locations offering multiple programs and services. Facilities include a residential shelter, Red Shield Community Resource Center, Outreach Centers in Bonita Springs, LaBelle, and Lehigh Acres, a Worship and Administration center. Programs include a comprehensive care program, family shelter, a correctional services program, a food services program which includes evening meals for the homeless and needy, crisis management for those on the verge of homelessness, an Angel Tree outreach ministry to disadvantaged homes in the area, and more. These social service programs help thousands of people each year and are very rewarding to be involved with.
