Social Media Coordinator

International Professors Project is a worldwide organization focused on the long-term development of a new type of professor. International Professors are ambassadors of global education to the developing world. They volunteer on the ground and virtually within an interconnecting network of professionals and students.

We are currently seeking for an experienced Social Media Coordinator who will be responsible for managing all of IPP’s social media channels (including traffic, site optimization and promotion), overseeing the efforts of IPP’s social media ambassadors and working with the Social Media Director.

Position Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain IPP social media content and network
• Optimizing tags through copywriting and keyword optimization
• Identify threats and opportunities in any user generated content surrounding our brand and report this to the Social Media Director
• Schedule and organize relevant departments within IPP to generate content on a daily basis
• Conduct keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases
• Manage and track social media activities and campaigns, coordinating with all facets of our organization as well as partners and networks.
• Create and update reports
• Analyze campaigns and translate data and results into recommendations and plans for revising the social media efforts.

Position Requirements:

• Solid experience in utilizing social media tools
  and platforms to achieve clear organizational objectives
• Digital marketing experience and familiarity
  with creating and managing multimedia content
• Basic HTML and web site content management
  experience desirable
• Familiarity with developing and maintaining
  social media networks and relationships
• Previous management experience
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and
  problem solving skills and a creative flair
• Demonstrated ability to maintain, document and
  increase professional knowledge of the latest trends, practices, programs and
  applications evolving in social media/networking.
• Knowledge and understanding of user research,
  user-centered design principles, social media technologies and online user behavior
• Active in and passionate for the social media universe, especially concerning Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google YouTube aswell as Stumble Upon, Delicious, Digg, Reddit, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs
• Functional knowledge or some experience with HTML/CSS desirable
• Knowledge of search engine optimization-think including basic keyword research.
