ORGANIZATION: Bay Area Green Tours

Tour Development Interns provide support for tour crafting and booking for the Bay Area Green Tours team. This position requires a self-motivated individual who has a passion for sustainability and event organizing. It is location flexible - duties can be performed by telecommuting or at the BAGT office in downtown Oakland.

We need help with:

  • Event Scheduling

  • Communications

  • Project Management

  • Research

Your tasks:

  • Assist with tour crafting process, organization & production

  • Maintain detailed and organized record of communications

  • Provide professional communications with tours stops & gather information about their preferences & tour logistics

  • Research new businesses, organizations, and individuals who are frontrunners in sustainability

Your profile:

  • Fluent in English (other languages are an added benefit but not necessary)

  • Outgoing, ambitious, adaptive and reliable

  • Experience in project management / event planning a plus!

  • Passionate about environmental issues and solutions for the future

Description

Bay Area Green Tours (BAGT) serves as a conduit to solutions for a more sustainable future. BAGT is committed to focusing on positive, innovative solutions and models. Tours have been offered for companies & conferences, and for young people who are able to connect to role models and organizations which inspire them towards environmental activism and career paths. We are moving toward Virtual Tours due to COVID and will have in-person tours on a case-by-case basis. Participants learn about innovative green-certified businesses, people & organizations in the nation’s environmental epicenter, enabling them to find resources or take action to help mitigate climate change and live more sustainably.
