ORGANIZATION: United Way Volunteer Connection

Volunteer Connection's Teen Outreach Assistant will update volunteer publications for youth and make volunteer information easily accessible to teens.

Duties include working with registered agencies to collect minimum ages for all volunteer opportunities and tracking this data. Also calling Marathon County schools to find the correct contact person who will help students connect to volunteering. This volunteer must be 15 years of age and commit to a minimum 8 hours of service. Times and days are flexible.

  • Contribute to work that directly seeks to engage youth in positive activities that strengthen our community.
  • Expand you awareness of available volunteer opportunities and community services in Marathon County.
  • Additional benefits are available to volunteers 55 and over through United Way RSVP including supplemental insurance, mileage reimbursement and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Who We Are:

United Way Volunteer Connection serves as a clearinghouse for individuals and groups seeking volunteer opportunities in Marathon County. At any given time, 200+ volunteer opportunities are searchable online, representing the volunteer needs of approximately 90 local nonprofit organizations.

A program of the United Way of Marathon County, Volunteer Connection's purpose is to build community strength through volunteerism by connecting volunteers and organizations with opportunities to serve.
