Purpose: To select appropriate materials to be delivered and/or deliver and pick up books and other library materials to shut-in Homebound Patrons. Qualifications: A desire to visit and help community members who are in need, and the ability to carry ten or more books at once. Homebound drivers must attend a defensive driving class taught by the City’s insurance company, have a vehicle, and have a validCalifornia driver’s license. Drivers must also supply current proof of insurance, a copy of their vehicle registration, a DMV driving record printout, and a signed DMV Pull Notice form. Responsibilities: Delivering and picking up books and other library materials at the patrons’ homes. Can also select appropriate items to be loaned to the shut-in.
