Walk Fur Love
Our Walk Fur Love Committee is busy planning for our biggest fundraising event of the year. The Walk Fur Love will be held in Lion’s Park in Shakopee on Saturday, September 13, 2014. If you would be interested in joining our committee, or even just pitching in on the day of the 5K Fun Run and Walk, please let us know. You can email either Jennifer at jennifer_cshs@q.com or Julie at jodenbach@visi.com.
Volunteering to help on the day of the race would only take a few hours of your time, and it will be a fun experience for everyone. Check out more about the Walk on our website and our video of last year’s Walk Fur Love at http://www.carverscotths.org/837-2/.
Right now, we know that we will need volunteers for the following activities that day:
- Oversee the start line and finish line for the Walk/Run.
- Walk/Run marshals to man checkpoints along the route.
- Manage the water stop along the Walk/Run course.
- Help serve refreshments and lunch after the Walk/Run.
- Volunteers to direct people to available parking.
- Assist vendors in setting up their booths.
- Assist with set up before the event and with tearing down and cleaning up after the event.
- Greeters to direct attendees and answer their questions.
