If you have a caring heart and want to provide comfort, support and companionship for someone at the end of life, this could be the opportunity for you. Compassus Hospice is looking for volunteers to spend a little time each week with a patient. Our patients live in their own homes, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Do you have an hour a week to share with someone? You can spend time doing exactly what your patient wants to do- going outside, painting, coloring, talking or listening to music, just to name a few. Volunteers are an important part of the hospice team and the rewards for both the volunteer and the patient/family are great!
To learn how you can share your gifts, email Kim Iannacci at Kimberly.Iannacci@compassus.com or call 978 777-8222.

Description
Compassus Hospice volunteers play a vital role in carrying out our mission to preserve each patient’s dignity while removing the fear associated with dying. Individuals who are 18 and older who are willing to share one to four hours per week are encouraged to apply to our program. Serving as a volunteer will enrich your own life in ways you can’t begin to imagine.
No previous experience in the medical field is necessary, and you will be prepared for your role with a free, comprehensive training program. This training will help you learn how to provide emotional support, companionship and respite care to patients and families.
