HomePlate is a weekly drop-in program serving homeless teens in Washington County. We offer them a hot meal, a shower, games, conversation, and other resources on Monday and Thursday evenings in Hillsboro. To accomodate our growing population of teen moms and dads, we now offer "HomePlay" - free childcare for the infant and toddler children of our teenage clients. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist in the HomePlay childcare program from 6-8pm on Monday and/or Thursday nights. This is an extremely rewarding job for people who enjoy working with small children. Not only do you get to impact the lives of the little people who are in your direct care, but you also make it easier for the teen moms and dads to access the services at HomePlate by giving them a temporary break from parenthood.
