Need to complete community service requirements? On the 1st & 2nd Saturdays monthly (9a-12N), The Friends of Atwood Community Gardens Club (volunteers) will have a special role in helping us maintain the beauty of Atwood Community Gardens & Farm.

  • They will also help make sure we offer families the option to grow some of their own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers or just save money on their food bills.
  • They will help us promote the freshness and flavors of the Gardens by introducing it as a relaxing way to exercise and enjoy being out-of-doors.
  • The Friends of Atwood Community Gardens Club will welcome the traditions and help us celebrate the agriculture/horticulture techniques of families from other cultures.
  • Members will use Atwood Community Gardens to teach our friends and neighbors how to replace community and environmental eyesores with beautification projects that have been proven to reduce neighborhood crime - -
    particularly vacant, blighted lots .
  • The Friends of Atwood Community Gardens Club will make
sure we provide a safe, recreational green space in the
West End so we can contribute to keeping urban air clean.

All volunteers are asked to register with Hands On Atlanta at http://www.handsonatlanta.org/HOC__Volunteer_Opportunity_Details_Page?id=a0CA000000FbzMcMAJ
