Volunteers pick up meals from several locations in the county and deliver to homebound elderly clients. Meals are deliveried Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays. Meals are deliveried between 11:00 to 1:00 with the average meal route taking less than one hour. Volunteers can deliver as little as once a week, twice a month, or even once a month. We also have opportunites for volunteers that would like to act as substitutes for a regular volunteer. Volunteers are always needed as we deliver meals to approximently 250 clients daily.

We seek to secure and maintain maximum independence and dignity for older persons. We ensure a network of supportive services to assist the County's residents age 60 and older and their caregivers;advocates for the elderly before government and private agencies.
Description
We operate 5 senior centers in Greene Countywere meals are served 5 days. We provide meals to Homebound Elderly five days a week. We operate a Homebound Medical Transportation Program, providing rides to medical appointments and treatments.
