On Friday, January 13 from 10:00 to 6:00 and Saturday, January 14 from 10:00 to 4:00 volunteers will gather at the Bennington Price Chopper to encourage shoppers to purchase a few extra non-perishible items to share with area families in need. A Green Mountain Express Bus will be parked in front of Price Chopper to hold the collected food until it is distributed on MLK Day to food banks and soup kitchens from Arlington to Pownal. We need volunteers to greet shoppers at the doors and to work on the bus. Please call 447-1545 to sign up! Last year we collected 2 tons of food.
