Do you want to teach our visually impaired students on how to use their home computer more effectively and their iPad's or iPhones to make their life easier? Connection Pointe is Braille Institute's brand-new, state-of-the-art technology center that offers free instruction on all of the latest mainstream and adaptive devices so blind and visually impaired clients can connect to the world around them. Help teach our students how to use mainstream devices such as: iPads, iPods, iPhones, and Kindles. You can also teach our students how to use adapttive devices such as CCTVs (closed-circuit televisions), Victor Reader Streams, Personal computers with JAWS (Job Access with Speech), Zoomtext, Guide and other adaptive software, Zoom-twix, and our BARD Stations.

Description
Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
