We are seeking people who are compassionate and can squeeze an extra hour into their busy lives to be a Volunteer Visitor to patients on hospice. Being friendly and a good listener are some of the qualities needed to become a volunteer with Grace Hospice.
Volunteers spend time with a person reading, talking, or maybe engaging in a hobby or playing a game of cards. Sometimes, just sitting quietly with a person can provide comfort. Volunteers can help family members take a break to revitalize, go shopping, or keep appointments. Volunteers for hospice are a vital part of the team.
Training is free and it involves approximately 10 hours of your time. Time and place of training is flexible, as is your commitment of time spent volunteering. Consider helping someone in hospice. Please contact Irene Collins, Volunteer Coordinator at 440-942-8490 or icollins@ghospice.com for more information.
