Description

The 26,000 square-ffot Mamie George Community Center in Fort Bend County is located at 1111 Collins Road in Richmond.

This Community Center provides much needed services to Fort Bend County's low income residents, particularly seniors. Funding and volunteer commitments from the community are vital to sustaining programs that will help people facing numerous challenges move towards self-sufficiency.

We host: A Senior Wellness Center which promotes health & well-being through a fitness area, activity rooms and health checks; A Learning Library with educational & computer classes for seniors; Patty's Cafe' which is open to the community, with a special meal program for low-income seniors; Trini's Corner Market which is a food pantry that provides the opportunity for low-income individuals and families to select food specific to their dietary needs, and much more.
