Purpose of the Position:

To assist a local nonprofit organization in developing or expanding their volunteer program

Regular Duties (typical):

• Help identify volunteer needs of the organization
• Write Job Descriptions
• Recruitment of volunteers
• Interview and match volunteers to appropriate assignments
• Provide training/orientation to new volunteers
• Provide support to the volunteer team.
• Record keeping

Hours:

5-10 hours a week

Qualifications:

Prefer candidates with Personnel/Volunteer recruitment, training or management experience. Strongly prefer candidates who have volunteer experience. Able to commit to one year and to contribute 5-10 hours a week.

TRAINING

Training: Pre-placement three 2-hour sessions. Post-placement two 2-hour sessions.
