Join the movement to serve your community on #MLKDay 2018! We still have open volunteer slots at Arc's Value Village in Brooklyn Center (as well as at stores in Bloomington, New Hope, Richfield and St. Paul) on Monday, January 15 and honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. Opportunities also available MLK weekend at all stores.
Volunteers will work together to unpack, sort and tag donations at Arc's Value Village in support of The Arc Greater Twin Cities and its programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Volunteer shifts available on MLK Day (Jan 15): 9am-12pm, 1-4pm, 4-6pm and 6-8pm; and MLK weekend (Jan 12-15): 10am-12pm, 1-4pm and 4-6pm. Individuals, groups and families are welcome. Youth must be at least 8 years old.

Description
The Arc Minnesota is a statewide nonprofit organization that works to promote and protect the human rights of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc helps people navigate systems while working to advance social change centered in justice, equity and belonging in community. Arc's Value Village is a public awareness and revenue generating vehicle for The Arc Minnesota. Arc's Value Village accepts clothing, housewares, art, media, books & related items and sells those items to the community.
