Last year 2800 children and parents in single parent homes averted violent situations, and were able to build more peaceful environments because of our wonderful volunteers and board. If you have reached associate and want experience working with individuals and families, we have the clients on a waiting list! Family Assessment, Counseling & Education Services or FACES has opportunities for becoming a part of a dynamic team of therapists. Our excellent training orientation will prepare you for the families you will see. Join our winning team! Join our active, caring team of professionals and learn how to work with social services and the courts. Some experience working with families under stress is helpful. Any experience working with the public is preferred. You will receive a general orientation, case management/monitor training and a clinical orientation. All provided in a variety of settings. 2 hours of group, one hour of individual. You will provide 15 hours per week and one year commitment. Call to see what hours we have available on our calendar! Join our dynamic team! Work with busy, upbeat professionals who are building their network of partnerships, referral sources. FACES helps children and parents' in our counseling office based in Fullerton, CA. Detailed work includes categorizing, filing and outreach calls to partners in community. This work calls for someone with problem solving skills who wants to learn operations of a non profit from the floor up. Work with the clinical team to keep operations going smoothly. You will interact with stressed clients who may be referred by court and set appointments with a team of therapists, set up virtual files, and audit therapists documentation on cases. You will learn about child abuse, family court procedures, domestic violence, documentation duties of therapists. It is a great way to build your resume and make a difference in a child's life. Join our active development team. FACES is conducting interviews with interested volunteers who would like to assist with grant research, donor files, thank you notes, outreach opportunities, board development, and capital campaign. Our team meets weekly on Thurs at 9 am and your presence is needed to work as a team on projects. This is a great way to help children and give others the opportunity to help our children. Single parent kids have a harder time with social skills and need support. FACES Family Services would not be so successful if it were not for the dedication of our strong volunteer programs. Each program focuses on briging care and compassion as well as strategies and solutions to families stressed out by separation and divorce. The mission is to strengthen the single parent family and increase kids' self esteem and feelings of safety and security. Our counseling and groups are what parents need to make successful transitions to the single parent lifestyle. We ask our donors to help with operating expenses, adopt a room at F.A.C.E.S., adopt a family for counseling, to help at fundraising or attend our fundraisers or sponsor events. We have been very successful and need more help to reach even more families.
