We operate in both Columbus, OH (since February 2010) and Atlanta, GA (since January 2016) servicing individuals and families residing in all Counties. We are a growing and progressive community charitable organization dedicated to empowering, enriching lives, promoting personal growth and development by providing professionally competent and personally compassionate services for women, teen girls, their families, and the community. We are a 'help center’ for women and teen girls. *** While our primary focus is on women/teen girls, we do provide some services to all individuals and families. We are looking to fill our Board Member positions in Atlanta, GA. We are looking for a Diverse Board - men and women of all races strongly encouraged to apply: Effective April 2024 - March 2026: President Vice President Budget Officer (Treasurer) Executive Administrator (Secretary) Education & Community Outreach Officer Human Resources Officer Marketing/PR Officer Fundraising/Event Team Officer General Member Officer Teen Advisory (Non-Voting/Age 13-19) Officer We eagerly seek enthusiastic candidates who reside in the City of and/or Metropolitan areas of Atlanta,GA that wish to actively serve on our nonprofit board and have the following: An understanding of non-profit charitable organizations Proven experience working on a board, or strong desire to learn Proven initiative and leadership Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and outstanding customer service Strong commitment to empowering individuals in the community The ability to meet bi-monthly virtually on Zoom the 3rd Sundays 4pm-6pm (excluding holidays) Ability to invest in annual board dues of $120 OR fundraise the amount To apply for these Board positions - Please send a copy of your resume, cover letter and/or statement of interest to include the Board Member position desired to: Felicia A. *****SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY***** Lady Butterflies - 501(c)3 nonprofit organization - is looking to build a Volunteer Fundraising Event Team consisting of up to 7 individuals with the primary responsibility of planning, coordinating, directing events and activities one project at a time. The team will report to both the Executive Director and Assistant Director. *****VOLUNTEERS MUST RESIDE IN EITHER COUNTY IN GEORGIA: GWINNETT, WALTON, ROCKDALE, NEWTON, DEKALB, CLAYTON OR FULTON****** Duties for the team: - Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates events, to include: obtain proper permits, organize parking, traffic control, handle logistics, security, first aid, securing event locations, hospitality, coordinate staffing/volunteers, food/drink, etc.. - Prepare and manage events from start to finish, including troubleshooting and solving issues - Schedules and maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants - Assists in preparing a variety of publications, materials, and programs for events (Flyers, Hot Cards, PowerPoint, Radio, TV, Newspaper, etc....) - Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize promotion of activities, services, and events - Follows copying protocol (copyright law, confidentiality, and careful handling of original documents and files) - Attends meetings as needed and/or requested - Complies with and enforces established policies and procedures - Acts as prime contact source for promotion of activities and events Preferred Experience: - Must be at least 21 years of age - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and Social Media Sites - Any combination of education, training, and/or experience in public relations, event planning, writing, sales - Must be able to work and attend meetings as needed/scheduled effectively as a team - You will need to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear, effective communication, critical thinking, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Must be able to work well under pressure, make decisions and ensure the smooth and efficient running of events - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Must be reliable and dedicated Hours: - Flexible hours based on team availability Benefits: - Attend all our events FREE - Learn new skills - Advance your career - Advance a worthy cause - Build References / Establish Portfolio - Mileage Reimbursement - Education Stipend (Earn up to $500 per project) *****SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY***** If interested send resume/cover letter to: Felicia A.
