Mission Statement

The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to enable other community organizations to end hunger. We strive to maximize community resources by effectively obtaining and distributing food through a collection and distribution system.

Description

Since 1984, the Food Bank has distributed over 50 million pounds of food and grocery products to our member agencies. The Food Bank serves 300 agencies in an 8 county area of Northwest Ohio including Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Wood and Williams. By design the Food Bank is capable of housing hundreds of thousands of pounds of food and grocery products at any given time, offering our member agencies a greater variety of products to distribute to those in need. Member agencies include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, rehabilitation centers, special programs for the elderly, group homes, holiday food basket programs and non-profit day care centers.
