Mission Statement

Barebones Productions is a Minneapolis-based association of visual and performing artists working to revive America's rich history of public festival events. We use the arts of puppetry combined with mask, wild pageantry and commedia-inspired performance styles to create rich outdoor spectacles that have been described as "thick" and "truly awe-inspiring" by our audiences. Our events are usually created around local history and seasonal peculiarities, and always include space and time for public celebration using food, music, outdoor artistic installations, and performance. We strive to include our neighbors and interested people from around the cities in the creation of our events from project design to performance.

Description

This year we celebrate our 16th Annual Halloween Pageant with a show inspired by Werewolves, Anubis (the Egyptian God of the Dead), and Little Red Riding Hood. Expect a story filled with wolves, mummies, and ghostly spirits! Out story is told with music, dance, stilters, giant puppets, and colorful costumes. Performances are October 24th, 25th, 30th & 31st at the north entrance to Hidden Falls Park in St. Paul (on Mississippi River Blvd) at 7 p.m. The performances are free.
